Andrew Goldstein has practiced securities law in both the private and public sector for more than 35 years. Before entering private practice, Andrew was an attorney in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement holding positions of increasing responsibility that culminated with his service as Associate Regional Administrator of the SEC’s New York Regional Office.
His private practice experience includes the formation and ongoing representation of private investment funds, including hedge funds, private equity funds and similarly managed investment vehicles. He has represented domestic and offshore funds and their sponsors in connection with fund formation and structuring, private placements, operational and regulatory matters. His experience also includes the representation of broker-dealers, investment advisers, commodity pool operators and commodity trading advisors in connection with their formation and operations.
With an extensive enforcement background, Andrew has represented regulated and unregulated clients in enforcement and regulatory investigations and litigation before the SEC and various self-regulatory organizations.
He received his Bachelor of Arts and his Master of Arts from Adelphi University, and he attended Brooklyn Law School, where he received his J.D. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
